Fort Mill Communities

As Fort Mill developed, communities formed around the town. These communities formed around the mills so workers could be close to their livelihood, around a dedicated African American neighborhood, and through the development of new home tracts. Communities provided identity and camaraderie to the residents of Fort Mill.
