On Thursday 6/11, support the Fort Mill History Museum while enjoying mouthwatering BBQ from Carolina BBQ & Catering.

Ticket sales close on 6/9/26 at 12:00 noon. Plate pickup will be in the backyard of the Fort Mill History Museum, where you’re also welcome to stay, dine, listen to live music, and enjoy the festivities together. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Memorial Day Exhibit Grand Opening & Service

Join the Fort Mill History Museum for a Memorial Day service to honor Fort Mill veterans and experience the grand opening of a temporary military exhibit, which will feature stories and artifacts from Fort Mill veterans. The exhibit will run from May 21 - August 1, 2026.

The museum will be open from 5:00 - 6:00 for a special preview of the new exhibit. The short service will begin at 6:00 PM. Continue your visit in downtown Fort Mill for the Third Thursday Art Crawl. Have dinner at one of our wonderful restaurants, pop in to local shops, and pay your respects at the Veterans Memorial.

The Wartime Experiences of Rev. William Martin

Rev. William Martin found religious freedom and opportunity to build a new life in the South Carolina Backcountry in 1772. He lost it all eight years later for committing a seditious act and taking a stand against British authorities. Come and learn more about Martin’s crime and punishment at this dramatic storytelling experience.

This will be a “friendly” competition between our high schools as they compete in four history related activities: the History Bowl Challenge, Art, Literature, and Photography. High School students will be competing for scholarships, ribbons, and the coveted “Memory Mill of Fort Mill History Bowl Trophy”! This event is presented by AME, Inc.

Please join us for a spirited tour along Main Street in Downtown Fort Mill. We will visit three local venues for a drink, merriment, and story-telling. You will learn a little local history with a dash of holiday flair, including some seasonal songs. Your $20 ticket will grant you jolly guides to host you as we celebrate the holidays, past and present.

Join us at the Fort Mill History Museum for a special holiday Ornament Reveal. Arrive early at 4pm to also catch the mural unveiling at Luca Gallery. Be among the first to see this year’s exclusive ornament design celebrating our town’s rich history and community spirit. The Strawberry Pageant queens will be available for photos and will have their traveling angel tree there to support their cause. Enjoy light refreshments and festive cheer as we kick off the holiday season together in historic downtown Fort Mill!
